Next to Avenida Almirante Reis, an apartment with a unique typology, a long corridor in U shape, which translates an original space in which all divisions work in continuous and with various interconnections.
Respect for the original was defined as a primary objective, and it is true that with its size and details, no other element would be necessary to recover all the splendour of this property.
All infrastructures have been renewed (water, sewage and electricity) with all the necessary care to the subsequent recovery of decorative plasters that were in the main rooms at either the walls or ceilings. A thorough work and full of ancestral techniques.
The large double doors, shutters and footers, recovered with traditional techniques and the laminate wooden race flattered and varnished.
In the kitchen, were recovered the old tapes of pots, an old mobile and the only new element was manufactured with design identical to the original.
In sanitary facilities, a meticulous work of removing and subsequent reapplication of the original tiles, hand-painted in cobalt blue. The singular contrast with the pavement in hydraulic mosaic in white/red chess was also redone according to the original, soon after the implementation of the new networks for water and sewage.
As the crown jewel of a bath of enamelled steel, also former and recovered there was installed in accordance with the toilets modern but classic inspiration.
An apartment where History feels each step, a real trip to the past.
